Description

The listing, Vintage sweater clip/chain with clear rhinestones has ended.

For your consideration is this lovely sweater clip in excellent condition. It is loaded with nice prong set rhinestones from end to end. It measures 7 1/2 inches long. No missing or loose stones. Nice silvertone finish and alligator clips. These were popular when I was a little girl to use to keep your sweater from falling off when wearing it casually across your shoulders. 50's and 60's era jewelry. This would be the perfect companion to your collection of vintage and antique jewelry.

Thank you! It's really pretty. I remember the rich kids wearing these to church with their pretty snow white sweaters when I was a kid and I wanted one so bad. I love your peacock pic.

My husband and I raise the peacocks for fun, they are goofy birds. I remember these clips, too. I can think of quite a few things it would look pretty on. Hope I win. Laurie

I hope you win too. Where may I ask do you live? I have heard them scream in the evening at a place where we used to fish and I have to say, its quite disturbing. Almost sounds like a woman screaming. Sounds like a fun project. I think they are amazing birds. Do you happen to have any solid white ones?

We live near Stockbridge, MI. They call to each other in the evening as they gather for roosting. Plus the males will "holler" all the time during mating season (April-July). We are lucky that the one neighbor we have does not mind them as they are noisy. They are nice birds, not agressive. We have some white hens but we've never had a white male. I don't know if that is a breed or an anomaly? We've had them around now for 15 years, kind of get used to them. :)

That is just amazing. There used to be and may still be white males that walk freely around the grounds of the Memphis Zoo. There are not afraid of humans and will come up to you for peanuts, etc. I used to have a beautiful boquet of colorful peacock tail feathers. Wish I still did. Hope you and yours are having a wonderful weekend. Thanks for the conversation and God bless.
