Description

The listing, 9 skeins of yarn has ended.

Large flat rate box overstuffed with 9 skeins of yarn.
All yarn is either new or lightly used. If you can not read the yarns information by looking at the pictures please let me know in a comment and I will type it out for you.

Winner pays shipping. I accept paypal, credit card threw square, concealed cash and usps money order,
Shipping costs $15.45. I'm asking $16 to help cover delivery conformation. The box and yarn weight 4 pounds 4 ounces. If the winner can find cheaper shipping that is fine by me. Winner can also pay for shipping and send me the label if they are not comfortable with other forms of payment.

If I do not receive payment/shipping label within a week of auction ending I will re-list and keep all credits.

This is coming form a smoke free home but i do have a dog. So don't be surprised if you come across a few stray hairs.

It would only cost you no more than 7-10$ to ship via USPS and just find a random box somewhere, please do not take this as mean, I just really want to bid but for 16$ i mine as well buy new yarn. I ship A LOT and flat rate box's are expensive and UPS is unreal in there prices too. I pack and get all my own box,s but mainly i use shippoing bags, they work well and you can buy like 20 all size bags for 5$ on ebay.

I'm sorry but when I went to the post office they quoted me close to $20 to ship it out. Like I said in the description, if the winner can find a cheaper way to ship it they are welcome to take that route.

If you combine the price of one of the red Lion Brand skeins and the One Pound at Joanns you have about $16. If I had the credits and the $$ I would be all over this! <3

Its $15.45 for a large flat rate box, I am wanting $16 to cover delivery confirmation. I would have to drive to the opposite side of town to ship via ups which is almost a 30min drive with construction going on right now. I just ran out of ink and will not be able to get a new cartridge for a couple of weeks.

Delivery Confirmation is free with USPS Priority online or I would think at the Post Office. So what's with the extra D.C. fee?? I do online labels all the time and D. C. is always free with any Priority mailing.

Well I am not an expert on usps but I do know whenever I have shipped packages out in the past (and most are flat rate packages threw usps) that they always ask if I want delivery conformation and that it typically has cost $0.85 in the past. But I really don't see how it matters as I already said I'm flexible with the shipping.

LOL...I asked MY post office about the wrapping of their Flat-Rate boxes....after they all laughed about the "jail-time" she just said that if they discover that one of their boxes are being used and covered up all they would do is charge for that additional shipping to the person who receives it...or they send it back to the sender for not enough postage! Good luck on your auction....yarn seems to do quite well here on Listia :)

We all like free shipping as well as free shipping supplies. I also ship a lot of stuff but it is small and fits in poly bags. There are lots of boxes on ebay, it just depends on what you might be willing to pay. I have yet to offer any yarn on listia, but I eventually will as I am a hand spinner and do end up with quite a bit after a project. Or just tired of looking at it, like the lilac mohair/wool blend that will end up here! I would suggest going to your local stores like the small family grocery stores or places like Dollar General of Family Dollar. I had gotten a lot of boxes to move the last time, but many of their boxes are small like the sizes we would need to ship yarn and other items here on Listia. I would go to those places if I knew ahead that I would be shipping things that are too big for bags. They give them away free. Just ask what day they would be most available.

i don't know about where you live but i have taken and reused the flat rate box and the post office has never told me that...just saying cause i have done it a few times and so does my husband, maybe it's different but it shouldn't be. post offices are basically the same everywhere.

Fortunate1… If USPS ever discovers you using their boxes and shipping in other methods, You will get jail time!! Is it really worth saving a box?? LOL I don`t think so. They say it is a crime even if you are reusing their flat rate boxes, I asked @ the post office. They said DON`T DO IT !

If you ship parcel post, it's only about 11 bucks, 12 with delivery confirm and paypal fee

Well like I said. I don't mind how it does get shipped. I can wrap it up and cover the box. Its the winners choice which route they wanna take when shipping it.

Might sound wrong to some but I take the flat rate boxes and wrap white or brown paper on them and they ship for less. Old Christmas paper inside out works well! i do not go get new flat rate boxes for free, (that would be wrong) these are reused boxes that you cannot ship without wrapping anyway. So I'm basically just re-use re-cycling. Also just trying to give ideas to lower shipping costs. Good luck whatever you choose to do. Yarn is expensive!

I've done that before too. I don't see anything wrong with it. I can do it this time too. I have white packaging paper.
