Questions & Comments
@ Nikki..from the looks of the band it is def real 10kt..most of my rings are this color and there 10kt....Gold plated wilhave more of an yellowy tint....Cute ring Aubrey:)
Look at the stamps inside the setting. A stamp of "10K, 14K, 18K, 585, 750, 900, 950, PT, Plat" indicates the setting is real gold or platinum. This gives a better chance that the stone in it is real as well. Look for any "C.Z." stamps. This will tell you the center stone is not a diamond
@angelbell there you go listed a thing off a jewler website and according to that cz stones can be in real gold.. I guess you don't know what you'd talking about.....
@ANGELBELL1982, you obviously have no clue what you are talking about, fake stones have been set in real gold and silver for hundreds of years, many Antique jewelry pieces have what is often called paste, heavy, very transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion. Cubic Zirconia, CZ's are where very popular in the 80's as a way to have the look of diamonds without the high cost, it is best to educate yourself prior to making ignorant claims, FYI, I am a Jewelry Artist and Jeweler and have myself set CZ's in fine gold settings.
This is beautiful! I have several rings that say 10k cz, 14kt CZ, and even on that says plat diamonique, so YES man made stones can be set in precious metal. And yes my jeweler has confirmed them all. Good luck on this one sweety!
