Vintage sun & moon trinket box, very very pretty, i have owned this since i was a child over 18+ years. i am cleaning house time to pass this treasure along to someone else, . not sure what item is made out of, is slightly heavy, no markings, black velvet material lines inside & bottom

I do love it as well thats why i held onto if for more than 18 years LOL but time to let go of "some things" as i find "other new to me" things on listia. I think the Gin is fair simply because it's so stinkin OLD-it's practically VINTAGE (Hey, you asked girlie lol)
Seriously, this is a very unusual item, but you know someone will come along and argue that point with me.
They are both just beautiful and my guess is it's made of pewter. Although it must be a thinner form of pewter as you said it is only slightly heavy. otherwise, steel. Pewter!!!

Pinky, to be honest, IMHO, I would bring the Gin down to 44,444. Just so you get it, and get a decent amount, without anyone feeling it is too high. If it were Sterling Silver, yes, but you would know if it is or not.
