The listing, Konica Minolta Weathermatic Dual 35 Underwater Camera! has ended.
The watertight camera body of the Weathermatic Dual makes it a real camera for aquanauts, with waterproofing to 5m (15').
The dual focus lens is behind a water-tight window and the battery compartment is sealed. A button on the back of the camera enables close-ups underwater.
Lens: 35mm close-up or 50mm
Autofocus: infrared
Film: 35mm, 100 ASA or 400 ASA
Exposure: automatic
Viewfinder: magnification changes when lens is switched.
Power: 1 6V lithium CR-P2.
You can use color or B&W 35mm film; you have 2 choices for the "speed" of the film. 100 ASA film is used for bright sunlight. A good choice for beach scenes or sight-seeing. The very fine grain allows for enlargements without losing detail or producing a "grainy" image.
For snorkeling (5m depth limit!), you'll need 400 ASA film. This speed is best for lower light situations, such as underwater or at dawn/dusk.
When you take it out of saltwater, rinse it in FRESH water, then dry thoroughly. After EACH use, place a dab of Vaseline on a Q-Tip and wipe down the O-ring and the O-ring channel; remove any excess. Check the O-ring for any cuts or tears (do NOT take it into the water if you suspect ANY damage). Repeat for the battery compartment. Remove the battery when not in use.
