The listing, CIVIL WAR ENGRAVED PHOTO JEB STUART has ended.

Steel plate engraved picture of Confederate General JEB Stuart from about 1865-1875. The engraved picture is
5 1/4 x 9 inches. In very small type under picture is "ONeill N.Y." Below that is printed "Gen. J. E. B. Stuart"

The engraved picture is probably an extra of picture produced for a limited edition Civil War book or for individual sale at the time near the end of the Civil War.
The picture of Gen. Stuart is oval shaped but appears to be round in the scanned picture here. The old picture is in excellent condition showing very, very little age discoloration. The picture is not matted or framed but would look great matted and framed. It is the perfect gift for the Civil War or history fan and an outstanding photo of this Confederate general.

Questions & Comments

JEB Stuart and his cavalry played havoc on Union forces during the Civil War. Considered by many to be the father of using fast moving forces to hit and run and take advantages of weak positions in the enemy lines his tactics have been studied by both World War II General George Patton and his German counterpart Ervin Rommel.
