I highly doubt you can get a free $70 dollar HDMI cord for free. This would not be available at Frys.

Not sure about the picture. It may be too late to add a real picture. If you go to the bestbuy website that I have linked above and click on more pictures, the alternate view has a picture of the box.

No it does not. HDMI cords don't usually need or come with adapters.

Yup no problem. What kind of cord do you use now? (RCA or Composite) From RCA it is WORLDS different and from composite it is still quite noticeable. Audio is better as well.
