It's what you put the large size matches for lighting the stove. Yup, it hangs on the wall by the stove and whenever someone needed to heat something either on the stove or in the oven, you'd strike a match and there it was....fire....heat. The good times. I remember doing this at my Dad & Mom's restaurant back when I was just a little girl and I mean a "little" girl. There I go again, showin my age. At least my mind is still pulling out the things from many, MANY years ago correctly. Just wish it would catch up with the things that happened yesterday. And on that note, I think I hear the blanket show calling me.
Thanks for strolling down memory lane with this ol lady. It's kinda fun to do sometimes.
