does the cap for the camera side of lens (the side shown in your second picture) turn clockwise or counter-clockwise to tighten?

just for clarification,... in the first picture, I am referring to the bottom cap. The one that goes on the end that is pictured in the second photo. Does that cap tighten by turning clockwise or counter-clockwise??
