Description

The listing, I don't even know what this is made for... has ended.

It looks like a fladhead screw driver on the end, but I'm pretty sure that's not what it was made for. So, if anyone out there knows what it IS made for, share the knowledge with others. Thanks to a very smart man on here, he says it's a horse hoof scraper

Thanks for stopping by. Good luck and happy bidding.

I have seen a blacksmith shoe a horse and nearly lost it when he started trimming the hoof and digging around! They swear it doesn't hurt them and it did not seem to but it's a pretty intense process if you ask me. Hats off to those who can do this-I'm sure I would not be one who could!

it is pretty intense. I have seen a billion horses get old shoes off and new shoes on, but never really paid any attention. Go figure

its just like a fingernail on a human. if the farrier gets to the "quick" then yes it hurts them. you can lift up a horses leg and feel around the hoof and squeeze as hard as you and the animal will not feel it..only when you get into the frog..
dogs LOVE to chew on the hooves..they sell them in pet stores and my dogs love when the farrier comes over
