Description

The listing, Purple Hyacinth Vine --15 seeds has ended.

Pretty ornamental vine, has light purple flowers and after blooming has dark purple seed pods.

I have planted hyacinth vine seeds directly into our clay soil ** seed does not need to soak overnight or be nicked** . It is a vigorous vine with lots of flowers & seed pods. Loves the sun & loves to climb!

**Auction winner will receive 15 seeds**

would these climb right up a privacy fence? Do they bloom year round in the south? LOVE THEM!

Thank you, this is one of my favorite vines. Very easy to grow--plant the seed in full sun & they grow into a very vigorous vine. I planted some on a wire fenceline (planted in May, late to plant this year) and they have covered the fenceline. It does prefer full sun, will grow in partial shade but not so hardy & won't bloom as much. Vine is an annual, dies back in the late fall, has to be re-seeded in spring. But if you plant this vine once, lol, you will have a LOT of seeds for the next year--or to trade:)

photo is from last year (wasn't on the fenceline at that time), vine isn't blooming yet this year (I planted it late) but I will post a photo later today of what the vine looks like before blooming.
