The listing, High Quality leather noseband mechanical hackamore w/ 6" shanks has ended.

New, never used mechanical hackamore with thick, high quality leather noseband. It has 6 inch shanks and is ready to be used. I bought it for a horse I had in training and never ended up using it. I paid $75 plus shipping and handling for it. It is heavy and very heavy duty-that is the ONLY reason I am charging to ship it-or-make me an offer. Happy bidding!

I grew up on a farm... crops, livestock. My horse hated a bit in her mouth, would act up really bad. I stumbled upon a hackamore and she became a different horse! Used it religiously from that point on. She quit tossing and would ride anyone afterwards.

Absolutely. Over 1750 points and it will go free <3 It's really a nice hackamore and I would love to see someone using it! As it is it's only $5.00 (only because it is heavy)- I mean it cost me over $80 to get it :))))

To stephn209- I have 2 rope halter placed on Listia. I also have a bosal that needs tlc as well as a nearly new heavy duty side pull that are both worth too much to put up on here. I don't know all the rules yet or if you are allowed to contact me privately but I can tell you more if so :)

I thought about doing free shipping but it is just too heavy. You will be getting a VERY expensive piece of tack for next to nothing and the shipping will cost me well over $5. Sorry :)

Angyebird I'm so happy for you that you found a better/different way to connect with your horse. So many things can contribute to a horse disliking the bit, from a matter of preference to dental issues.I like to use a hackamore, bosal, sidepull or rope-halter for a lot of my first rides, generally for a month. It teaches the horse the concept of pressure and release without the confusion of mouth pressure. Some horses do love their bits though, it's nice to start in a non-mouthpeice and move into one to learn more precise training ^_^

OMG! That is awful, can't imagine losing all of my stuff. I have so much. I've retired frpm training and going back to school. A LOT of what I have is Arabian oriented but i was training other breeds as well. Mostly in Western divisions but I have all the extras as in wraps, brushes, washes etc. Let me know what you need. It's a $100 piece of equipment put on a horse once. If it were in a GIN listing it would have gone for at least 20,000 points. I don't feel like asking to split shipping with me is that big of a deal. I did post that and don't want to break any Listia rules, so it is what it is. Let's see how the list ends and go from there. i would never do you wrong :)
