Up For auction is an XBOX 360 System (Console only) This is the falcon chipset so it does have HDMI. THIS UNIT DOES NOT WORK!! It will not turn on so it's really only good for parts. Disk drive works great and as far as I know so does everything else.. It just won't power up! I can't afford to offer free shipping on this one. I will not answer questions if the info is already posted.. So please bid and enjoy!

Easily fixed, I'm watching, could just be the power source. Fanning also.

It's the shell off my other 360..My wife's Hair straightener fell and landed against it. So it got a little heat warped.. It's just cosmetic!

power supply meaning cord, or power supply meaning internal power source?

Knowing Electronics like I do, he is talking about the main board inside the 360! Personally I don't ever recall seeing a fuse there. However, I might be wrong since I never really went on the hunt for one!

well then sir, we have a real dilemma on our hands here, but should be fun to figure out, I consider electronics as puzzles at times, so I should enjoy trying to fix it. Is your extra power source of the same wattage as the original one, they do generally come in three different varieties, and the xbox 360 s has a completely different one all it's own. sorry for all the questions, but if I do end up winning it'd be nice to nail the problem before it arrives with whatever information you can provide me with.

Here's how the power supplies work on the 360.. You can use the 1st gen (Xenon/Zephyr Chipset) power supply all the way up to the 3rd gen (Jasper chipset) However you can not use a Jasper (3rd Gen0 on a 2nd or 1st Gen. So You can go forward but not backwards!. If you know what I mean by that... You also realize that this is just the console and nothing else right? Which means no power supply or tv connections!

yes sir, I do in fact understand what you mean, that's actually exactly what I was talking about. I'm just trying to pinpoint the issue. What happens when you plug it in?

also, about the wattage of the power supply, the xbox 360 has three varieties of charger for the amount of wattage and should only be used with the proper charger piece, the proper piece can be determined by the number of prongs and slots you have and the placement of each on the xbox itself and the cord. If you use the wrong power wattage for your system, i.e. using a first gen low watt on a 3rd high watt system, you'll damage the system in a way that I do know how to fix. If it's another issue then it's back to the drawing board for me lol. I feel I shall enjoy this puzzle haha.

simple way to solve this problem, what does the watt output on the bottom of your charge brick say? also if you could answer my previous question about what happens when you try to turn it on that'd be helpful.

Nothing happens when you attempt to turn it on.. As far as Wattage goes.. I only used the Power Supply it came with.. As far as your wattage goes.. 1st gen had high wattage and 3rd gen has lower wattage!

oh crap, I mixed it up lol, sorry man. I appreciate the info. Definitely gonna be bidding on this, I may be able to do something about it. If not right away I'll have a nice little project again, my last was an xbox that the guy broke by dropping it, all the problem was was that he knocked a few components loose inside.
