When you go on line they ask for a pin number off your reciept but if you go to store or call on phone to activate you don't need a pin. when i try years ago to pay online i didnt know my pin but they have updated software so i pay my bill on line.Its no big deal. Most people who get these sim cards do not have problem activating them. You either go to simplemobile store or call 611 after putting card in phone
