The listing, ~ Macy's Sterling Silver Abalone Mother-of-Pearl Filigree Drop Dangle Earrings NEW $40 ORV! ~ has ended.

These Sterling Silver Abalone (Mother-of-Pearl) Teardrop Dangle Earrings are BRAND NEW, never worn, and still on their original card. The original retail value of these is $40.00 (see photo #6).

I tried to take these photos the best I could but as you can see that didn't turn out too well lol. I have included a bunch of them though in different lighting for at least a decent representation of them. Needless to say, the photos DO NOT do them justice! They are SO much prettier in person and truthfully I wouldn't even be selling them if I didn't desperately need the credits!

The inner shell of the Abalone used to make these earrings is a highly iridescent swirl of intense colors, ranging from deep cobalt blue and peacock green, to purple, yellow, and even a tiny hint of orange! Because each shell is highly unique, the design on each earring differs slightly from the other.

The back of the earrings is Sterling Silver, and printed on the back of each one is "925 ATI THAI" (see photo #16). The wires are sterling silver fish hooks. Filigree drop is approximately 1 1/2cm drop from earlobe to bottom of earring. Abalone inlay is approximately 1cm long and 9mm at widest point.

Abalones have been identified as one of the many classes of organism threatened with extinction due to acidification of oceans from anthropogenic carbon dioxide,[30] as reduced pH erodes their shells. It is predicted that abalones will become extinct in the wild within 200 years at current rates of carbon dioxide production.
