Each ball is 219 yards, 3.5 oz and 100% wool. This yarn is from Romania. Suggested needles are #7 or 4.5mm. Official colorways are: 43, 214 and 26. Free shipping in the US! I've never worked with this yarn. Is it a soft wool?

Not as soft as merino. It is sturdy yarn that keeps its shape easily. I react poorly to wool, but this one doesn't make me break out.

It is machine washable, or hand wash only?
