Well, this set certainly isn't your average, boring, pedestrian salt and pepper shakers, sugar bowl, and pitcher! It is . . . well . . . unique! I found these at an estate sale but there are no markings to date them so I cannot attest to their age, just their oddness! The elf and one bird are the salt and pepper shakers. Another bird is for sugar. The pitcher, however, does not appear to have been made at the same time. It is very clearly handmade (and not like Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze in Ghost), it looks more like Picasso meets Martha Stewart. The pitcher is 7 1/4" tall and 7" across including the handle, the birds are 5 1/4" tall and just over 4" wide, and the elf is 7" tall and 4.5" wide. They are all in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Just look at those faces! They are so cute! Yes they are! Come on . . . yes they are!
