Korean Jade jewelry is an important tradition in the Korean culture. Korean Jade is thought to have magical powers that can improve health, fortune and general well-being. Koreans also believe that this Jade can ward off evil spirits. Korean Jade is also believed to signify the Korean personality of politeness and determination. The Korean royal family uses it as a symbol of authority and fortune.

Jewelry made with Korean Jade was considered rare and expensive prior to the 1900’s. Royalty used Korean Jade to adorn their crowns. The stone was cut into hook or comma shapes and placed in prime locations on the crowns where the gems could easily be seen by onlookers. Royalty also wore Korean Jade that had been cut into beads as rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings. It was a status symbol for the royal family due to its symbolism of good health and fortune.

I love these! As a fatter of fact I think I got some very similar from you years ago. I use them to form walls or walking paths in tiny fairy gardens. Beads like these work best because I can string the beads with floral wire to achieve the form I want and NOT be forced to use chemical glue. Now that I've prattled on I will get to the point of my comment... Hi Jen! hope everything is groovy with you and your dear ones!!!
That is all.

Hi there, Sam! We are all doing well here, thank you! Hope you are well too? Wow, I sure did list beads like these several years ago- probably 4, 5 years ago or more! I stopped listing them only because they required a thicker (> 1/4") package and higher $ rate for postage. I like to list quite a few at a time, so the postage added up pretty quick. Started listing (flat) charms, which I can mail with a single stamp, instead. $3 per package vs. 1 Forever Stamp seemed like a no-brainer to me, lol!

I found a stash of beads that I had long forgotten about while thinning out my jewelry and crafting supplies recently. Will use some, but thought I'd list a few and see how they do here now. I think I have a couple other shades of green in this rectangular shape, a medium and a darker green. Will add samples to this package! :)

Floral wire to form fairy walls. Ingenious. Yup, blazed and brilliant he is, lol. Oh! The lovely Joseph's Coat that I got from you a while back has sprouted several nice side appendages (pads, stems?) that are growing quickly! Very interesting and fun to watch this plant transform! Thank you again for sharing!
