Description

The listing, 5 Jiao from China. 1980, crisp, and VERY pretty! has ended.

My somehow very blurry photos are NOT doing this banknote any justice at all. This is a very pretty bill! Miao and Zhuang children depicted in very nice portraits on the front. The coloring on the reverse is abundant and very crisp in all the swirls and patterns. I believe it to be authentic and uncirculated. Thanks for looking and good luck to the bidders! US only, please. I am paying the shipping.

This is really cool.... I have a question- don't laugh... I have a dime from the 1920's; is that collectible, like would people bid on it?

i won't laugh! i don't know a whole lot about them actually.. my coin book is in my son's room, but if you have another dime see if it makes the same sound when it hit's the table. i think it might be all silver. THAT would be bid on, for sure. i am ashamed to not know off hand. the dime is acutally my favorite coin!

Do you like dimes because it's in your name? Just kidding...Anyway I did the test and it does seem to make a different noise. But what if I'm wrong? If I was organized, I could just find the infor from when I bought it. What do you think, should I list it? And BTW, I sent you a little package, did you get it?

you sent the candle! i thought it had to be you. :) it came yesterday, but then i didn't get a message out to you.. i had even looked in my coin book. we love it! thank you. i couldn't wake up early enough to bid on the one you had listed, so i really appreciate it.

i think you have a mercury dime! is there a figure on the the front that has a winged cap? those DO sell well here. you can watch the listings, but it's something like 500 credits.. of course the range is there it could be anywhere from 200 to way more than 500. it always depends on who is bidding that day. AND it will depend on the coin... the date and condition. personally, i would never try to grade a coin myself. if your scanner is working - i would use that and have the people judge for themselves. let me know the date and i can give you the info i have to help if you feel like listing it. :) i will be able to PM sometime in the afternoon or way late at night.

I got your message but it hasn't shown up yet; this always happens. Anyway I just tried to read the date which was a lot of fun lol given my eyesight- I . think it says 1928. No winged figure- some dude with a head of hair (I'm quite a history buff) and on the other side it looks like a telephone pole with leaves around it, and one thing I am pretty sure of is that it says "E Pluribus Unum"- and I actually do know what that means....

hmm.. i still think that's what you have, but maybe it's too worn to see the wings. the reverse side sounds like it, for sure. there are a handful of mercury dimes listed right now - you might check them out to see if they look like yours. :) i have to set up a couple of autions and make lunch, but i should be able to chat in.. a couple of hours here if you are around.
