This is a simple and elegant set. The chunky black stone is probably obsidian or onyx, not sure; it is set on a sturdy silver-plated chain of 20 inches with a homemade hook clasp. The earrings are made with jet black Swarovski crystals on brand new hypoallergenic silver-plated ear wires.

Thanks. The design of the necklace has a pretty simplicity to it, ala the star necklace we just sold here. There is something to be said about simplicity sometimes. :) And black and silver are a nice marriage of color.

I used to try to mix lots of different beads together to make necklaces, usually because I didn't have enough of one kind, but it was always a challenge, that's why I'm so impressed with the stuff you guys come up with. But I've gone to a much simpler style, much easier to make wearable jewelry. That's why I love those long silver beads so much!

Yeah, when you are short of beads, the long silver accessories really make them go a long way. Stacey loves them. I'm still eh on them. But I do see the value in using them. It's just an acquired taste for me. -- A

Stacey & Arbon, you are probably sick to death of all my advice, but I really think you should try ending your auctions on a night other than Saturday. For some reason this just doesn't seem to be a good night most weeks. You might get quite a few more credits on Sunday or Monday nights. I've got a bunch ending on Wednesday this week because I want to bid on something ending Thursday, so that will be an interesting experiment as well.
