This is a machine-sewn 72" X 81" quilt top, probably made in the 1950s. It is NOT cotton, it is made from synthetic stretchable fabrics, but it is very well sewn and ready to finish into a large quilt. The colors are very nice, and it would make a nice addition to a mid-century decorating scheme. WARNING: This quilt top has been stored in a house with a smoker, and I don't want to wash it because it is not yet a finished project, although I believe it could be washed without harming the top since it is so well sewn. Someone gave me this top and I only work with cottons, but this would be a great quilt to make for a picnic blanket , or for a dorm room at college, very bright and cheery.
