i am new to listia and i was just curious about something. why is it that on 2 different auctions (including this one) i keep getting out bid immediately after placing several bids on the same item. i mean it is instantanious u know. it will say, " sorry you were outbid." is it automatic bidding or something?

It is because someone else has already bid higher. For example, if I start my bidding at 100, someone can bid 200 but it will only show 101 because that is all that is needed to win at that time. Then you bid 150 & it will say someone outbid you because the other person has already bid 200. Hope that makes sense. It is actually the same way that Ebay takes bids also.
