Description

The listing, White Wandering Jew - Watchers NEEDED has ended.

Working on getting my 60 watchers badge and increasing fan base - If I make it, I will add another houseplant - the purple wandering jew (also known as moses in basket) which looks stunning when mixed with this one in a pot. I will also add the purple striped wandering jew- no picture shown if I can add 100 fans. So tell your friends to watch along with you - even if they don't bid!

These plants are started in an empty toilet paper roll with soil, will be sent as such. This houseplant does best in bright sunlight, with a combination of direct and filtered sunlight. If the foliage color doesn’t seem to be as dramatic as it used to, it probably isn't receiving as much light as it would like. The white wandering jew doesn't have any color, it is a small leaved plant in shades of green that looks fantastic growing alongside other plants. I have some mixed in my purple wandering jew pot and some mixed in my coleus plant.

Wandering Jews prefer moderate to heavy watering. Aim to keep the soil moist most of the time, however not soggy. Allow it to try ever so slightly in between watering. They also prefer a slightly higher humidity level.

Wandering Jews also prefer to be more root bound, so typically you don’t need to repot much, try to prune the ends of the stems often. By pruning the ends of the stems back, the plant will branch out and become more full and bushy.

I have the "white" ones, which is funny since they are green. I also have the ones that look like the white ones except they have striped leaves - white stripes against the green, stunning. I have the purple one which lot of people call the moses in the cradle and then the standard wandering jew. They are so easy to start, it seems they pop up all over!

This is just the plain green one, I have the white and green one if you would rather swap it for the green - it isn't rooted but just put it in a glass a water for a week and you will have roots.

Have you encountered a plant of this family called "Baby Jew"? It wanders like the other members, but it's leaves are about q1/4 to 1/2 inch and all green. Very prolific grower, and the tiny leaves are gorgeous. Had one in my office years ago, and it took over a window. Haven't seen them since.
