i called the post office and they said about 12.00 sent reg. mail plus a box size 8*11 would run around 13.00

I have a small box and the post office said it would be 6.00-7.00 I have 2 listings for stride rite and I took the other pair that a the blk. dress shoes and the said 6.00 for me to send it I have not yet used ups i have always used the mail,is it all right,Does ups charge to send any thing? its what ever you prefer, I dont have a ups here in guthrie or do u call and they pick up?
