The listing, Unique Decorative Decanter has ended.

Very unique interesting decanter. Outside is covered with a leather/paper type material with engraved designs and a scene with a woman and man (possibly dancing?) The top has a cork and is connected to the bottle with a small chain and the inside is glass. The decanter measures approximately 10" tall and approximately 9" from chain to tip. The base is just over 4".

what is it used for?

I am not certain, however I believe at one time it was probably used for Grappa. I only attempted a half-hearted search for it on the internet, so I cannot provide much more information than this sorry.

its for wine fill it up i tshoots aperfect stream out sort of like a bota bag.ihave one that is very old.mine was given to me by an old basque man i used to work with on a ranch.

That seemed to be the consensus when I inquired with various people too that it was a glass flask for wine. This one seems fairly old as well, however it would definitely not be appropriate for travel lol! Thank You!
