THIS YRS CROP! Up for auction, is ONE Shallot cluster full of seeds. This is the RED version. They are mild in taste and sweet. Can get up to the size of a golf ball. I do not use pesticides on the plants nor do I use any chemicals for the soil in my gardens. Shallots CAN be grown from seeds. They just take longer. Sometimes, it takes a second season for them to start. I have had success growing mine in a starter box on the back porch where it is not to hot nor cols. These were just picked along with my beets. This is the first time I planted reds and I find them SO MUCH more flavorful for a shallot. Roommate sniped the tops off before I could stop him. sry lol
