Now that I've got your attention I have to say that I think the age range for this item is much to high. A five year old in my family would scoff at the thought of using a baseball made of cloth. I truly do beileve that this would be better for a 3 or 4 year old. The glove is small and the ball soft so they can't hurt themselves and with a baseball a child always needs someone to throw it to them so they'll always be supervised. Remember, this is only my opinion, you as a parent have to do what you feel is best for your child and to heck with what anybody else thinks. As always shipping is free and have a great day.
