The highlands of Northern Bossonia just after dawn, on a bright day in late spring. A caravan's hoofbeats and jingling harnesses break the silence of the morning with its captain riding weary but alert.

They are ambushed by savage bandits...and not far away, a sharp-eared Cimmerian named Conan awakes to the distant sound of battle!
Minutes later, he arrives to the battlefield and is enraged at what he finds...

"Crom!"
But the cold god of Cimmeria is far off and answers no prayers.
