Hello,

In order to have better results with your auction, please add more details regarding your item. Information such as make, model number, condition, any known issues and any other specific details particular to your item will go a long way in instilling confidence in potential bidders. This will also reduce the number of questions that your bidders will have to ask. For an even more productive auction experience (more bids, possibly higher credits received), we also recommend that you post a clear, close-up picture of your item with it powered on (showing current date clearly if it has that capability), as well as with it powered off. A picture of the back side too will help you, all with the same background. Also, it’s HIGHLY recommended that you write your Listia username on a piece of paper and have it next to your item when you take a picture of it. It adds bidder confidence that you in fact have this item in your possession.

While this isn't a requirement, this is requested so that sellers get higher bids from more bidders, and for the protection of our users who might be interested in bidding on your item. It'll also prevent your auction from getting flagged by users. We don't want your auction to get deleted for seeming like it's not real. Thanks for your cooperation and good luck with your auction!

Welcome to Listia! I see that you are new & I wanted to share some tips for getting the most bids / highest final selling price...

Do as many of these as possible:

1. Posting real pictures w/your username and the date in the frame instead of using stock photos from the internet.
2. Answering questions on a timely basis
3. Providing as much detail about your item as possible: model #, specs, condition, what's included, etc
4. Getting PHONE & PAYPAL verified
5. Offering free US Shipping

Things to AVOID:

1. Hiding Comments - hidden comments are a red flag. If you feel a comment is 'out of line' reply & let us decide if the comment is 'out of line'.
2. Becoming Confrontational - even if you disagree with a comment or question, there is no need to be hostile or mean. Reply & let us see that you are reasonable & intelligent & that the commenter is the one who is unreasonable.
3. Ignoring Questions/Not Providing Clear Answers - If you aren't a native english speaker, ask someone who is to help you.
4. Asking For a Shipping Fee when you are brand new - This is a red-flag as many scammers do this as a way to defraud buyers.
5. Promising To Provide Info/Pictures & Not Following Through
6. Posting many high value items out immediately. Consider posting a few smaller value item and once you've shipped five to ten small value items, offer one higher-value item at a time

Listia is a lot of fun but you have to be careful as a buyer...

My #1 Tip: There are some folks who post fake auctions and try to steal credits. Be careful and NEVER mark an item received until you actually receive it. And wait to leave feedback. That way if the item doesn't arrive you can leave the appropriate feedback (neutral / negative) to warn other bidders.

Best of luck!

I know you're new and probably don't know how to navigate ur way around Listia. I know, I was a newbie before. It took me 9 days on my cloth diaper auction finally to find my way to reply to comments! :)
Does it have videocamera capability? Is it a SmartPhone with GPS? Does it have an app called TeleNav or any driving-direction app? Can I have the phone's serial number so I can call T-Mobile and make sure that it's compatible with my account? Does it have QWERTY keyboard (I guess: yes, because this is a sliding phone)? Is it a touch screen or not? I've never had an Iphone but heard a lot about it!

Chanda I can answer most of your questions but would not recommend you to bid on this phone as this person has never once came to show signs that this might be a legit auction! The iPhone 4 is not a slider phone it is touch screen and does have video camera capability. It has a front facing camera so you can skype :) You can purchase the telenav gps at the app store, I hope that helps :)
