A little bit of history on homer laughlin china...it was developed in 1871 and quickly gained a reputation for high quality china, in 1902 the company was doing so well they moved to newell,wv.in 1927 they hired a new design manager who designed their most profitable design yet...fiesta ware. they continued to prosper throughout ww2, and with fiesta ware leading the way are one of the most highly acclaimed china/pottery manufactures in the world. that said what i have for bid is a homer laughlin gravy dish with platter, the design as well as the pattern (maple leaf) are listed as rare. the bottom of this gravy dish has some browning from age(made in 1930's) and the bottom of platter has 3 sm. chips which i tried to show in photos.(these can't be seen unless you turn platter upside down ) otherwise in great condition. now if the bidding reaches 5000 i will add a new fiesta ware ball jug creamer pitcher in pale pink measures approximately 6(h) x 5.5(l) in.in "new,never used condition. so have fun bidding and please ask questions if you have any :-)
