The listing, Sega Saturn ST Key For Playing Imports and Samurai Spirits Shodown- FREE Shipping If Reaches 7000 has ended.

This auction is for an ST Key cartridge for playing imports from Europe and Japan on a Sega Saturn. Also included is a Japanese import game, no idea what it's called but looks like anime characters on the front. I am tood that it says Samurai Spirits Best Collection or Samurai Shown. These are untested, picked these up in a box lot at an estate sale. They look to be in great shape, but listed as is just in case. I looked into the ST Key and there is one on eBay for $45 and on on Amazonf for $49 so this seems to be a valuable and rare Sega Saturn accessory.

Not sure if this will even sell, don't know much about these. If bidding goes over 7000 though, I will cover the cost of US shipping, shipping would be free to buyer.

I had one of these when I had my Saturn - very reliable! Only works for playing imports, does not bypass copy protection (i.e. you can only play official game disks with it) - although it's still against eBay rules and I'm surprised someone was able to even post one there (it threatened to ban me). The game says Samurai Spirits Best Collection. Hope that helps - best of luck!

Thanks for all the info, very helpful. I had listed this on ebay and they removed it, which is why I ended up putting on here. I'm not really sure why ebay would not allow the listing since it only plays legal games.

I think they just don't want any problems with the companies that put the regional lockout there in the first place...not sure how it benefits anyone really, sales are sales!

You'll probably get more bids if you add the Samurai Spirits name to the listing, it's a fairly popular fighting game series...a few of the games were marketed overseas as Samurai Shodown I think. I can't make out the font on the individual game names. It says something about needing a RAM cartridge though...might not be able to be played with this ST Key since it doesn't look like the dual function one (although it's been a while).

I actually have no idea, never used this, I don't have a Sega Saturn. As far as I know, it is only used to bypass region coding on CD's so that a North American Sega Saturn can play discs made for European and Japanese Sega Saturns. I don't believe this acts as a memory card and it will not allow you to bypass copyright codes and play bootleg CD's.
