This is a gorgeous engagement ring from HSN (it was my sister in law's and she gave it to me as a gift on her wedding as i was her maid of honor - she has tons of HSN jewelry). A High quality Absolute diamond is the closest thing to a diamond as the real thing. The center absolute is huge as you can see, with two smaller ones on each side. HSN often sets its beautiful Absolute into technibond settings. Also, HSN's "Absolute" diamonds are actually cubic zirconia. That's what the "CZ" that's stamped on the inside of your ring stands for. They give it a fancy name to sell more (they're not the only ones who do this). It pretty much has the same brilliance as a real diamond but without the flaws and the color is perfect! Your ring is really beautiful. It looks like it's very well made with a really substantial setting. I'm sure the winning bidder will be very happy!

Gold Plating over Sterling cannot be re-sized. I think it's because they would have to heat the metal and the two metals would mix and it wouldn't end up as gold over silver... they'd be mixed! Or it could be because the two metals have different heating points (different composition) so to melt one they'd have to burn up the other. I've asked for my own jewelry and have been told several times that it can't be done. :-)

Thanks for not putting up an exhorbitant starting bid on this beautiful piece. So many have caught the greed bug and are listing everything at a crazy high starting bid. It's really made Listia a drag and not worth visiting the site much like I used.
