What's better than a groovy vintage cast iron trivet? One that is cast iron and brass, electric, and it still works great! This electric trivet was produced by Paragon Electric Company in Two Rivers, Wis. There is no rust on the cast iron. The brass center plate does show wear from use (when you are sixty so will you!) but it heats up well when the trivet is plugged in. It comes with the cord and works on any 120 volt outlet. It is 7.5" long (not including the cord) and the brass heating plate is 2 3/4" circumference.
This is a vintage piece that not only looks great in the kitchen, it has utility!

Questions & Comments

Approximately how hot does the plate get? Is it more for warming or could it be used for cooking as well? Thanks!

Good question. It does get hot, but not enough to safely cook on. I'd stick with warming only, ecoli really bites!
