I have been cleaning out my house and trying to pare down my collections. I'm so allergic to dust I have to clear things out and I really don't want to just pack this away, never to be seen. This auction is for a very special, ceramic ashtray. It was given to me by my dearest, best friend who passed away from cancer several years ago. She called me one day and said, "honey, I've got cancer". I never heard from her again and four months later, she went to be with Jesus. She had moved to California and shipped this beautiful ashtray to me a few years prior to her passing. We were both smokers at the time. I quit smoking not long after I received this. I never used this other than as a decorative piece, it just sat on a shelf. Although this brings about very fond memories, my memories of her are deeply engrained in my heart and I'll never forget her. The ashtray measures 5" in diameter and is about 1 1/2" tall. It has three "rests" for your cigarette or cigar. I love the blueberry pattern in the bottom and there are light blue blueberries along the side. Very beautiful, lovely artwork, and signed on the bottom "NAT MEXICO 352". There are no chips or cracks, it's just like new.
