19 " 14kt. gold necklace. On the clasp is stamped 14 kt. Italy. I took a picture you cant read it but you can see there is something on the clasp.

araiderfan, you are very mistaken, 14k means exactly what it says, 14k gold, not sterling silver which is hallmarked 925 even if overlayed with gold, Italy means that it was made in Italy, on occassion you will see 14kGS which is gold over silver, however the federal trade commission no longer allows that stamp to be used in the U.S, all items that have any precious metals have to be stamped according to the main metal used, i.e, 925, 14k, 14kP (plumb gold), 14k G.E(gold electro plate), plat or Pl (platinum), etc.
