Ok, so I stole the pictures from the web HOWEVER...the recipe is my mother's. I made these with her whenever I was a child. I learned how to make them in her yellow and brown Mississippi kitchen. I made them for my two boys (in MY Mississippi kitchen) and we all LOVE them!!
The winner has a choice of receiving the recipe on a card, in the mail or through email.

Are these the crunchy kind or the chewy kind?

It depends on how long you bake them. I always took them out of the oven early so they were soft. Also, if you put a piece of bread or apple slice in the cookie jar, they will stay softer longer.
