As with any tree, or, Bush, it depends on the size of your pot/planter. Even in a Whiskey 1/2 Barrel they tend to stay around 6'. If planted in a sheltered South facing location, they can exceed 10', however, that takes close to 50 years. They are also sensitive to sub-freezing temps until their third year. I suggest treating them as a greenhouse, or, Indoor/Patio plant for the 1st 2 years. Alternatively, you can erect a mini greenhouse over established seedlings. It all depends on the normal seasonal conditions at your location. They are technically hardy for Zone 7, sometimes, even Zone 6, but, there are many variables.
