if there is anyone on here that wants this machine, i'm currently the highest bidder. can someone outbid me since i no longer want it. please and thank you!
I did say in my description that it looks like it works fine, but that I didn't know anything about sewing machines!! If it does not work then it can always be used as an antique or someone that collects stuff like this!! I apologize ahead of time if it does not work!! You can email me if you are not happy and I will take it back!! Thanks!!
Hi. The "pedal" is a knee lever. The machine was one that sat in a cabinet. The lever was attached to the cabinet underneath at knee height, and one worked the machine by pressing one's knee up against the lever, thus operating the machine.
OK I have this thing out the pedal works but the needle doesn't go up and down, it may be the belt! or I may not be doing something right! so this may or may not work, but like I said it can be an antique if anything!
I am from Paragould near Jonesboro. I was wondering, do you possibly have the set of stitch cams for this machine? They fit into the little round door on the top left of the machine, and there would be a box of probably a dozen or so of these. If not, I probably have some that will fit but thought I'd ask since there are so many different sizes/brands of them. Thanks.
I did! When you push the pedal it makes noise, but does the needle does not go up and down, I am not sure if that is whats supposed to do or not!! It may just need a belt or something!
The previous poster asked why people have their username in the picture. not everyone does it but when you see that random piece of paper with someones username on it in the picture.....that is because the are verifying that they have the item.
nanasgals2, can you explain to me the point of having your username in front of the image? I see a lot of people doing that and haven't read anything about it.
I know your new here but, what do you mean it looks like it works? i am not being sarcastic i want to know if i am going to bid my credits? don't you know anyone at all who know how to work a sewing machine? i mean there has to be someone or somewhere you can take it to find out if it is working condition and if if needs any repairs, this is "old" and they are good machines don't get me wrong, so long as they are in working condition...thanks watching & waiting for an answer
I will plug it in today and let you know if it works, I know I have plugged it in and tried to push the pedal and it started!! Dont know much about how the needle works, but if anything this is something great to have if you are an antique collector!!
GIn is Get It Now. Basically 5,000 credits equals 5 dollars, but you cannot trade the credits for cash. Let's say this is sold for 5,000 credits. The seller is responsible for shipping the item, their full expense (if shipping is free). If the seller selects that the buyer has to pay shipping they will need to pay probably with a paypal account. But basically whatever winning bid (credits) gets the item.
Credits can be used to bit on any other item you want. If you lose the bid, you get the credits back. A sewing machine probably isn't going to be very cheap to ship, so I'm a little surprised that it wasn't set to a high starting bid to begin with. You can select the starting bid by hitting advanced options when you create the auction.
Yeah i didnt know how to set the starting bid high, so I am probably screwing myself here!!! But it was my first time and it was the first thing I could think of to sell!! LOL!!
Welcome to listia :) GIN means: Get it now.....you will receive this option when you get your sellers wings badge, or so I'm told.. ^^" I joined a few months ago and I know my way around listia a bit, so feel free to ask any questions :D
--good luck with your auction ^ and credits are not like dollars, this is a free site...for free stuff :P
OK, Sorry if I'm asking irrelevant questions, I'm new to Listia, but does this mean you are giving this away for free and no postage charges! And what does each credit mean! Dollars!?
