Description

The listing, Vintage Screw Back Earrings German? has ended.

Sorry for the crappy picture!

These are interesting screw back vintage earrings.

They look like German crosses. The center is a big one surrounded but 4 tiny ones. There is some other decorations in the middle of the bigger one but I am not sure what they are.

They dangle and measure a little over and inch, maybe an 1.25 inches long.

Not sure of the metal they are made from.

They have the cute vintage screw backings.

I think they would be even more beautiful if someone cleaned them up some. But I am not going to try for fear of messing them up. Much rather have someone who knows what they are doing do that!

Is anyone having trouble bidding on these? Every time I place a bid, it says I've been outbid, and of course the placed bid goes up, and then the process repeats, I bid, I'm apparently outbid, and the bid placed goes up. :/

That just means someone else placed a higher max bid. That means someone said "I like these so much I will place a higher bid of 500 or 1000." So to get the high bid, you would have to keep bidding until you surpass THEIR bid. The way I do it when I bid on things, is just increase my bids 10 or 50 at a time. It is pretty much like ebay.

I understand how the bidding works, I'm just flabbergasted because every second, and I mean every second I bid, the bid changes as soon as I place that bid.

Basically it seems like there is a possible glitch, like the highest bid being shown isn't updated. Or, every other person in the world is looking at these earrings at the exact same time as I am, and placing a bid simultaneously.

rebekahnwalters, I am looking at your bids and each time you bid, you are never as high as the highest bidder. On aug. 29 you made7 bids until you became the highest bid. Well, katkora had bid 200 but all of your bids were lower that that. You have to step out of the 25, 60, 70, etc bid zone and go for something bigger in order to be the highest bidder. I really like these earrings so I am going to bid big. Watch.

Yup you can not expect to win with 2 increments.

I am bidding bigger; obviously small increments weren't getting me anywhere!
Question for you though, number1fancy; why are you interested in the earrings so much?

When you bid and it says you were out bid, it is because someone had posted a much higher bid, that the true amount is not showing on the auction page. So you have to keep bidding until it says you have outbid that person above you.
