These peppers thrive on the Island of Trinidad & Tobago due to the tropical climate. The name comes from the Congo, in Africa which shares the same latitude and where these peppers originated, before being carried to the West Indies by the slaves. It's heat index is from 150.000 to 300.000 on the Scoville Scale. These peppers are so aromatic, it's unbelievable. Great for curries and island dishes. They are very exotic and elegant . Great for Island and South American dishes. The aroma is so sweet, it's like no other. These are my plants.
