This is yarn that I spun using wool and mohair from the animals that I raised myself. I washed, carded, dyed and spun it also. It was washed in very hot water as well as boiled when it was dyed so there should be very little, if any, shrinkage in the finished item. Again it is wool so no matter what it might shrink somewhat. Especially if you put it in a hot clothes dryer!

It is a 50/50 blend. It is 2 ply yarn and rather fine. It would be wonderful for a lace project or a light weight scarf or shawl. Because of the mohair it will eventually get fuzzy and any fine detail would be lost. That is just the nature of mohair. It develops a "cloud" in the finished product. It would also be perfect for a "fulled" bag. That is when you knit an item and then process it to become felted.

NOTE: This was my first experience in dyeing fiber and unknown to me at that time, you can not use Rit dye on wool and natural fiber. Which I did. This yarn will continue to bleed slightly as it is. It could easily be re-dyed with an acid dye for wool. It is a lovely Lilac color now.
