Starting form seed youll want to start in a papertowel plant 6" apart they'll come to flower in 75 to 90 days they do not need to be watered heavy they need to be a little dry like growing peppers
I would love to try and grow these, but could you elorabate on starting in a papertowel plant? I don't understand what that is. Thanks. fanned & bidding
Because Gerbera seeds are so small you might want to put them in a bit of sand shake it up to disperse them across a half or even a third of a folded paper towel wet them to bring them to germination to make it easy for you to put the entire paper towel down in ground after they sprout cover them up and wha la they will begin to grow out of the ground keep them kinda wet but they dont want to be wet wet they like to be a bit dry never over water these they just dont like it. Gerberas dont like to be crowded either. They are not hard to grow. They come to flower in 75-90 days. You'll really want to use proper soil compost and fertilizer in growing them. These are not just stick em in the ground spit kinda plants they take a bit of doing but it will be worth it.
Growing is medium-hard Gerberas have to be loved. They cannot take too much liquid nor fetilizer. They simply will not grow in sand. Not exactly easy they need a weeeee bit of pampering. do not be discouraged they will be well worth it Then when you have one flower in each plant you'll have all the seedsw you will ever need. At least for the next year
