World War II was the bloodiest battle in human history. It claimed the lives of over 70 million people. In 1945, the war finally ended in an allied victory. Now, the Perth Mint commemorates the 75th anniversary of the end of the war with this coin. This piece was struck from half a gram of .9999 fine gold. The "P" mint mark of the Perth Mint is inscribed near the bottom of the reverse. This piece comes in an illustrated presentation card and will arrive in GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

Powerful Olive Branch Design
Dominating the obverse is a right-side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark. The monarch wears her Royal Diamond Diadem, the crown that she traditionally wears for Britain's State Opening of Parliament, as well as earrings and a necklace. Her effigy is encircled by a rim frame in which there are several inscriptions. Her name, "ELIZABETH II," and the name of the issuing country, "AUSTRALIA," spread throughout the top half of the frame. On the bottom half are inscriptions of the coin's weight and purity, "1/2 GRAM 9999 AU," its date, "2020," and its face value, "2 DOLLARS."

On the reverse, the anniversary dates, "1945" and "2020," are inscribed next to an olive branch.
