The listing, Lovely Embroidered Pillow Case has ended.

I pulled this from my cedar chest. It was embroidered by my grandmother, but I have no one to leave it to that would even know my mother nor her mother. It looks to have been made from some very thin material. There is a seam running down the back and the material was either stained when it was made or someone used it. I have washed it and none of the darkness came off. Just being honest. No starting bid or Gin on this one.

Yes, it is very old. My daughter, who wanted these things, passed away 5 years ago. I have enjoyed looking at them and now am downsizing. There will be some nice items listed soon. I seem to get better deals here than on E-bay any more. They are also changing.

I was just looking at it. The colors of the thread are vibrant, just wish she had used better material to make it, guess that was all she had. My grandma would have a lot of fun in my sewing room. It's 16' x 24' with 3 windows, heat & air plus ceiling fans, parkee floors. I used up all my retirement to build it, the year after we lost our daughter. I said I wasn't waiting any longer. Got Bluegrass music station on the radio beside me and they just brought tears to my eyes. Sometimes memories sneak out of my eyes and roll down my cheeks.
