FREE: Handmade Metal Rose

This is a handmade metal rose that I bought at a Renaissance Faire. It is about a foot long. My last pic has a ruler in it but the first inch is broke off.

The metal is cut and folded together and made into a rose flower shape. Then the artist took the stem and the leaf and welded everything together to create this beautiful item. If you look at the 5th picture you can see the folds of the rose. If you look at the 4th picture, you can see how heat was applied to give it various colors. The rose was then dipped into rose oil which gave it a lovely fragrance. I smelled it and it does still have some of it smell. All you have to do to refresh it, is to dip it again.

This is a beautiful piece and very unique. I'd had a lot of compliments on it over the years. Now its your turn :)
