Description

The listing, Zaurus SL-5500 by Sharp - no cables, just the unit has ended.

Just the unit, I have nothing else for it, no cables to charge it, no usb (if it even takes one!) It has the stylus. Its a PDA I think. I cannot test it. My friend who buys up storage units gave it to me, but I have no use for it if I cannot make it work. No directions either. Shipping $3.50 via usps in a bubble envelope. email for my paypal address.

I believe these were the first commercial, Linux-based PDAs sold in the US.

You can still buy sync cables online. This model should have a slide-out keyboard.

If this one works, you should be able to flash it with a newer open-source Linux distribution.

I don't know. Its got one of those areas that have copper wires that are bent over a piece of plastic, similar to what a cell phone charger plugs in, but its about 3/4" long. Not sure if that is a USB thing or not. also has a round hole for a headset i think, thats what the icon next to it looks like, and then another hole with a pin in the middle, I think that is how you power it with something that plugs in and then maybe into the wall outlet. Sorry, I am not into electronic things. Have a plain cell phone, not even a blackberry!
