Questions & Comments
Hi Sweets, welcome to Listia! Just a helpful hint... you won't likely get any bids because Dreamcast is an old system and you are charging shipping. You might want to consider offering free shipping to get bids up (especially since you're a new member and don't have any feedback yet).
I am unclear, If I don't charge shipping who and I am not establishing a price then how do I get compensated for my postage? Additionally, I own a vintage game store a Dreamcast games are highly sought after. Not concerned about this being an old system, but I am interested in your comment about feedback shipping issues. Thanks
@Sweets612 Typically auctions that offer free shipping get very high bids, which in turn gives the seller a lot of credits to use on other auctions. By not getting paid for shipping, you are instead getting more credits, which is essentially currency. More credits is, in turn, compensation for your postage costs. About my second point, a lot of buyers tend to be weary on bidding on items that charge shipping when a seller is unproven. I am by no means saying that you are untrustworthy, but people tend to trust sending money to sellers that have a track record rather than ones that might grab some quick money and run.
I understand and appreciate the advise. I sell my items on three other formats as well as have a store. I want to start off on the right foot and get a better grasp of how this site works. Thanks again!
