That not true, I looked up the info on my magicjack account. Since I let my account expire all you have to do is select a new phone number and pay for a year of service. This magicjack is not linked to a name or address.

I hope it's not but I talked to 5 magic jack rep and I never could get my mj approved to be put in my name and get it to work..I'll try again tomorrow.I've had mj for years and I bought the new plus but it stopped working so I got another one.

I just called magic jack, and they told me that once a magic jack is activated, that same device DOES stay in the original owners name, you are right about being able to pay on it, but it will NEVER be in the "new" owners name, and I think you should call and have them explain it to you because I JUST NOW hung up with them, and thats what they told me~I HAVE NO REASON TO LIE OR MAKE IT UP~ITS THE TRUTH, as a matter of fact, I WISH it wasn't the truth, as I have an "old" magic jack~The kind you need a computer with, and would like to sell it, but IF I DO, I will now have to let prospective buyers know this information as it's only the fair and right thing to do considering THEY are the ones spending THEIR money on it. Just thought you should know this information. Thanks for sharing.

Wow !..... all your comments really give some great information !.... i was wondering about the majic jack devices being offered here in our world of listia.com..... so far it looks like "majic jack" truly is magic !!!.... when you run searches for info on "majic jack" the searches will give so many "negative comments" from many users !.... in this auction, i really have gained good info.... i'm gonna search for info on "google's voice".... i no longer use google nor some others for a homepage because those sites always want to "track" where you go to !.... and their program really does stay in your computers' ram ( random access memory ) so that they can kinda ride along with you !.... oh well.... thanking you all for your info and..... all have a great week. good golf. great fishing or..... whatever makes you happy.... major huff in texas of "our" u s a....
