1 GB RAM
60 GB HDD
DVD+/-RW (CD/DVD burner)
Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3 - WIndows Vista Capable
Wifi capable
4 USB Ports
VGA adapter
14" screen(broken - can be replaced by yourself)

It has broken screen for more than a year. I have been using it using the extra monitor as seen in the photos. Please note that the screen is not included

It also has 3 keys missing - "R", "4" and "F8".

Everything else is working fine without any issues.

It will come with it's power adapter(charger). It has extra 8 cell battery which still works great(4 hours without charge with less brightness).

What comes in the box?
- Laptop with everything installed(no external monitor shown in photos).
- Charger/power adapter

Screen repair will be $110-$140 dependent on who has it in stock at the moment and if I put a glossy (Dell style) screen in there it's a few bucks more most techs will charge another 1hr flat fee of $100-150 for the labor of popping it in. Keys are cheap to replace but a pain. So just to give bidders an idea of the repair costs. I'll watch it and if it doesn't get ridiculous I may win,fix and relist. Best of luck to anyone bidding.

Thanks for helping others, but if someone is looking to use it at home only, he/she can plug-in a monitor which will be cheaper option.

No screen is not cracked, I think it's dimmed that you can not see anything in there until you tilt it as some angle(but very dim). I am not 100% sure, but you would probably need "New Dell Inspiron C640 E1405 Lcd Backlight Inverter" and it will start working after that. You may get it on ebay for $11 to $20, and there are some videos on Youtube or other places how to replace it. Again, I am not 100% sure, but this is possible.

I have a gateway that the screen broke on I completely removed it picked up a used monitor at the flea market for $5.00 it's now a desk top with a built in keyboard
