I am helping some kids for Christmas and this would be great. Is it possible to just wrap the box in brown paper and ship that way. It could cut shipping in half and get you a lot more credits. Just a thought.

yes I am willing to ship ANY way the winner wants ( I am still kinda new to listia) and I havent used the mailing system for anything in over 10 years, So when I first got started on Listia I was guessing what shipping cost might be and then ended up putting out a lot more money then I could afford. And at the time I posted this I had flat rate boxes at the house and based shipping cost on which one she would fit in. However since then I have received my stamp.com scale and can now weigh my items and figure best shipping method. Unfortunately I have not been able to change the shipping cost as it is stated on the auction apparently because there are bids on it. But Yes anyway to make it cheaper on the winner I will do, as long as the winner understands doing it the way u mentioned may cause damage in the shipping process. I received one of my won auctions in the mail yesterday that was done the way you suggested (wrapped in paper) and by the time it got to me it was 85% un wrapped and the box was beat up so bad it had holes in it. I know the seller did not send it that way, I just wanted to give you a heads up on that :0) But Yes anything that helps I am willing to do for anyone :0) thank you!

I have been on here awhile and I offer free shipping on all my auctions but I only run a few at a time. I think you could use a large bubble wrap envelope for this or wrap it in bubble wrap and then I use brown paper grocery bags with the printing on the inside. This might even fit in a shoe box and sealed up. I only use flat rate boxes when I'm shipping a lot or heavy item far away from me. Then they work great. I also try to bid on auctions with shipping supplies so I always have stock on hand. The people at the post office laugh at me because I reuse every box and envelope I can. Since you are willing to work with me on shipping I will bid. Thanks and hope things go better now that you have some other shipping items. And yes I also have been ripped off on here by shipping. One person collected almost $100 in shipping and claimed the items were shipped but no tracking number. I no longer will do any cash.

That is a ton of excellent advise! THANK U SO MUCH! and yea I am reusing boxes too..lol and I only have one car and hubby takes it to work so i wasnt able to get out to the po enough to put "exact shipping" until now I joined stamps.com so thats a help. And yes I had a seller try to rip me off, she had multiple auctions i bidded on (clothes for my daughter who REALLY wanted them) and her shipping cost was high on each item, however I asked her if she would combined shipping and she said yes, so i proceeded to bid thinking that since she said she would combined shipping that she would put the 5 articals of clothing in a flat rate box and charge me the flat rate box charges, however she didnt feel it to be that way, her idea of combined shipping was $55.00 for 5 pieces of clothing! BROKE my 10yo little ones heart! I reported it to listia but they didnt seem to care...she is still on here selling! at least I got my credits back but she was able to leave nasty feedback on my profile when I clearly feel I wasnt asking too much of her. I am more upset bc it upset my daughter, would have rather had the clothes :0) But thanks again for the advise I really appreciate it! do u belong to stamps.com? if not send me ur email and I can refer u so we can both get free shipping stuff :0)

Hi
Yes it can be confusing about shipping.
Its best if you can find a box and put her in it then brown paper.
Its cheaper and you can still add delivery confirmation.

I too recycle everything.
LOL, my spare room is full of empty boxes.
Especially like the thin sturdy ones.

Hang in there and just take some items packaged to USPS and get price to like
90210 with delivery confirmation.

Thanks :0) When I first started on listia I was guessing shipping prices (as if it was 15 years ago when stamps where like 15 cents lol) and I ended up having to pay out a lot of money in shipping that we just simply couldn't afford but I did it anyways bc I didnt want to make anyone mad, then I came across a girl trying to sell her stuff via charging very high shipping cost and that just burned my butt! Anyways over all that now and just learning and makin friends in the process :0) thank u...fanned :0)

I based that on using a medium flat rate box(as stated in the auction) because that was all I had available to me at the time that she would fit in length wise. I am now a member to stamps.com and have my own scale and have been learning all kinds of new shipping methods sooooo I can work with the shipping cost now. You could have just asked about shipping like most listia ppl have do :0) I have ALWAYS been willing to do my best to accommodate shipping prices ESPECIALLY bc I got messed out of some auctions by a listia seller who was CLEARLY breaking all shipping rules by charging for her auctions via shipping cost. IF you had looked at my other auctions, comments, and feed backs before passing judgement on this auction you would have clearly seen that. Thank you :0)

To the winner of this Auction, as you can see in the comments there has been shipping cost questions, please review them and note**I will ship any ways the winner want it done at the cost of it being done**(exact shipping I guess is the right terminology) lol Anyways I am sorry it looks so high of a shipping price but as u will see in the coments I did that because I didnt belong to stamps.com yet and wasnt sure what the exact shipping cost would be. Basically I was preparing for worse case scenario cost of shipping, and hoping for my postage scale to arrive before end of this auction so I could kinda ve able to surprise winner with better shipping cost. SO after winning please send me how u want this to be shipped. In a box parcel post, no box and just wrapped, flat rate, priority ect ect....just note if you choose a method that could be harmful to your item in the shipping process I can not be responsible for what shipping does. Thank you All for watching and asking questions I appreciate it :0)
